AKOMOLAFE, BANKOLE JOEL, SAN

Bankole Joel Akomolafe, SAN was born on the 30th of July, 1967 in lbadan, Oyo State, Nigeria to Deacon Akomolafe Michael Olatile (Deceased) and Mrs. Janet I. Akomolafe, both natives of Igede-Ekiti, Headquarters of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area, Ekiti, State. Mr. Bankole, SAN (fondly called “BANKY”) by peers and friends had his primary, secondary and university education in Ibadan, Oyo State. Meaning that he graduated from the Primer University, the University of Ibadan. He did his Masters at the University of Abuja. He is happily married with children. He is the 5th child of his parents and he has a set of twins, male and female, behind him.

Mr. Bankole, SAN started his law practise with the Law firm of Otuyemi & Otuyemi and Associates in 1999. He joined the foremost legal firm of Aare Afe Babalola, SAN & Co. in 2002 and he rose fast to become the Head of Chambers of the Abuja office of the firm in 2003 after which he started his personal law firm, Bank-Akomolafe & Co now SAN & Co. in 2010.

In his over 23 years as a raw and pure advocate, B. J Akomolafe, SAN has handled several land mark cases in various fields of practise many of them reported in our different law Reports in Nigeria. Some of the cases are:

Further to the above, B.J Akomolafe, SAN has distinguished himself in many other assignments committed to his hands. He was a tough Defensive Midfielder in his footballing days which he played to university level. He is the Sunday School Coordinator; and the Secretary of Happy Home and Marriage Committee in his Church, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Dakwo, Lokogoma Express Road, Abuja. He was Governor of the School of Ministry 2nd Set, North Central Region, Kubwa, Abuja. He has also prepared hundreds of Law Students for Bar Part II Exams successfully over the years, a service he rendered pro-bono out of passion to assist those behind him to climb the ladder of success.

All the sensitive assignments referred to above which were committed to his care he has handled successfully well to the grace of God over the years. B.J Akomolafe, SAN is also reputed to be committed to charitable cause and assisting the less privileged around him. He is a Distinguished Fellow of Institute of Organisational and Administrative Risk Management of Nigeria (IOARM).
